DJ Marky is without doubt one of South America’s most high-profile dance music artists.
DJ Marky is the deck-master who has taken the world by storm in the last few years, re-energizing drum n bass and capturing the hearts of new fans to the universal sounds of D&B.
When DJ Marky colluded with XRS in the late 90`s and they decided to start messing around in the studio, the immediate result was the world-wide hit “LK” on V Recordings (which made it to 17 in the UK charts) and a chemistry that would inspire an album worth of new, fresh and cutting edge material. Which brings us to 2003 and the launch of Dj Marky and XRS’s very own label, INNERGROUND MUSIC.
Based in Sao Paulo (but run by their management company Bulldozer in London), where DJ Marky and XRS still live today, the Boys From Brasil see Innerground as an opportunity not only to showcase the music they love to make and play, but to showcase local and worldwide talent and music that fits their vibe.
“We’re going to start with our own debut album, but further down the line we want to present new producers from Brasil and music from our favourite producers around the world. But we’re not into creating a closed shop here. We still want to release music with labels like V Recordings like we’ve always done,” says an ever-enthusiastic DJ Marky.
The debut album, “In Rotation” was released in March 2004 and showcased the skills and musical vision developed over the years and is really the culmination of over a decade of music making. The album also had three 12” singles released from it, and featured guests such as Gilberto Gil, Vikter Duplaix, Stamina MC, Cleveland Watkiss, Calibre, M.I.S.T. and Jenna G.
Since the release of the album, Innerground has begun releasing records from some of the most talented and well-respected artists in drum & bass including arguably the biggest producer in drum & bass Calibre, the freshest new face and best new producer on the scene Random Movement, and bona fide drum & bass legends Digital and Total Science.
With these huge new releases, the last year has seen Innerground gather some serious momentum. Innerground have secured a solid reputation for quality and the next year will see the label releasing some great new music from some of the best new producers from Brasil, Japan, the UK and more! DJ Marky will continue to release his best work through Innerground as the label continues to stamp it’s distinctive sound and style on the dance music landscape.

Mixing music has never been so much fun.... ever wondered how a lot of big DJs create mixes and mash ups that sound too good to be true? By mixing tracks that are in the same or related keys, harmonic mixing enables long blends and perfect mash-ups. The goal is to eliminate those nasty key clashes.
Simply click on the Camelot key reference next to the track title in the list above and the Chemical database will show you key match suggestions, even for tracks you already have in "your collection" (you need to be logged in to use this function and you need to have either bought "your collection" from Chemical Records using your account log in or manually enter other tracks into "your collection")
You can also buy commercial software to give key data for your mp3's on your computer for this we recommend Mixed In Key.
Disclaimer: BPM & Key results shown here are not always 100% accurate (but they are not that far off) Please do not buy tracks based on the key or bpm from our results as we can not guarantee them to be correct, it is a guide only.
