Digital Music Content Manager

Reports to: Directors / General Manager / Label Manager

Based at: Chemical Records, Unit C2, St Vincent's Trading Est., Feeder Road, Bristol, BS2 0UY.

Job purpose:

We are a fast growing and innovative company currently looking to recruit a Digital Music Content manager. The successful candidate will report directly to the Directors & General Manager and should have the ability to work effectively on their own and also within a team environment. We require someone who possesses excellent data entry skills and is administratively focused. You must have 3 or more years experience in a similar role within a relevant sector for this position.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Develop our fast growing digital store;
  • Liaise with digital distributors & aggregators to build a comprehensive digital catalogue;
  • Devise promotion campaigns, liasing with labels & distributors sourcing exclusive content;
  • Manage the digital delivery and distribution of our in-house imprints;
  • Manage our You Sell accounts including customer support and label management;
  • Liaise with MCPS/PRS maintain & manage licensing in respect to our online store;
  • Deliver flawless metadata, artwork & PR materials to our distributors;
  • Monitor competitor activity, promotions and comparisons;
  • Attend training and develop relevant knowledge and skills.

Customer Services Supervisor/ Manager-Full Time

Reports to: General Manager

We are a fast growing and innovative company currently looking to recruit a person to manage our Customer services dept. The successful candidate will report directly to our General manager and should have the ability to work effectively on their own and also within a team environment. We require someone who has proven management experience ideally having managed a customer service department, or similar you should also posses. excellent communications, data entry skills and are administratively focused. You should also have an interest in the products we sell. This is an excellent opportunity to join our rapidly expanding company. Training and support will be provided.

  • Managing the day to day customer service dept;
  • Training and staff assessments;
  • Implementing and maintaining company policy;
  • Checking and authorising purchase invoices;
  • Processing Customer refunds;

Exciting opportunity to join the expanding Buying team of this award winning multi branded retailer. The successful candidate will report directly to our Assistants Buyers / Supervisor, Buyers and should have the ability to work effectively on their own and also within a team environment. We require someone who posses excellent data entry skills and is administratively focused. You should have an interest in fashion and street wear and the ability to learn about garment construction and terminology. This is an excellent opportunity to join or rapidly expanding clothing department. Training and support will be provided.

  • At times support stock control team;

Skilled Stencil Maker / Screen Printer

Reports to: Designer, Head Clothing Buyer and Directors.

Based at: Chemical Records, Unit C2, St Vincent's Trading Est., Feeder Road, Bristol, BS2 0UY.

Job purpose:

We are a fast growing and innovative company currently looking to recruit a person to lead our screen printing department. You should have the necessary skills to see a job through from advising our designer on the film preparation & separation needed to achieve the very best results, to bagging a ready to sell item for delivery. The successful candidate will report directly to our Designer, Head Clothing buyer and Directors and should have the ability to work effectively on their own and also within a team. You should have an interest in the products we sell. This is an excellent opportunity to join our rapidly expanding company. Training and support will be provided however you must have at least 3 years experience in stencil making and garment printing.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Working with our designers & customers to advise them on the best method of screen print for the design required and checking the film output from the designer;
  • Registering films on a layout grid;
  • Preparing screen printing stencils using the optimum exposures;
  • Mixing and loading ink, keeping a clean and tidy library of mixed pantone colours;
  • Setting up the press using the M&R Tri-Loc system;
  • Making any necessary registration adjustments (if any);
  • Printing items and maintaining a strict QC Standard;
  • Cleaning machines;
  • Troubleshooting technological problems;
  • Maintaining screen printing equipment & Stencils;
  • Drying, folding and bagging screen printed items;
  • Keeping records of work completed.

The equipment you will be using:

The department is in a "start-up" stage but we are currently using an eight colour M&R "Chameleon" manual carousel with registration tri-loc system and pneumatic screen locks, a Nat-Graph stencil table and washout booth. We are hoping to expand this into automatic presses and stencil makers as the department expands. We do not wash and re-coat our screens on-site, this is done by an external contractor, as we do not have the equipment or desire needed to handle the chemicals involved in those processes.
