The M-Audio Axiom 25 MKII is a USB controller with 25 piano style semi-weighted keys, 8 rotary encoders, 8 trigger pads and 1 mixer style fader. All these controls are assignable giving you hands-on access to your software parameters.
All information is displayed via the angled backlit LCD screen so you can tell what you are altering even in dark environments. Mapping to your software couldn`t be easier with DirectLink Mode which automatically maps common parameters within your sequencer to your Axiom keyboard. Sequencers supported include Pro Tools, Cubase, Logic, Live and Reason.
Transport controls assist you even more in the quest to not use your mouse and patch navigation can also be done from the unit. Pitch bend and modulation wheels give you the option for a more expressive performance and octave and transpose up/down solve the problem if you are running out of keys. There are also inputs for footswitches (not included) for added dynamics.
As well as the rotaries and faders, the Axiom 25 has 8 trigger pads for you to bash out beat patterns or percussion lines. Axiom Instrument mode is a single button that instantly maps faders buttons and encoders to the virtual instrument inside your DirectLink compatible DAW so this could be a synth or sampler giving you a drum maschine or hardware synth feel at your fingertips.
The built in MIDI interface includes traditional MIDI in and out jacks enabling control of external devices. Ableton Live Lite software is included in the package so you can compose, record and remix right from the box.
The Axiom MK2 is available in 25, 49 and 61 key versions.
