Description

*B STOCK - EX DISPLAY - FULL WARRANTY, BOX OPENED DAMAGED*

The Akai MPC 1000 carries all the mainstay features of the MPC range including 64 track sequencing, 32 voice sampling capability and the famous 16 velocity sensitive pads packaged into a small footprint and a great price point.

16MB memory as standard but can be upgraded to 128MB using the EXM128 to increase your sample time.

5MB of internal sounds and an extra 10MB on compact flash are enough to get you going but the USB connection feature is what give the MPC1000 it`s edge. Any samples can be dragged from your computer onto the MPC to trigger so you can benefit from the advanced editing features of an audio editor but still get to bash out your beats in the hardware realm. As well as this type of loading, you can go the traditional route and record direct into the MPC 1000 using its analog or digital inputs giving you instant samples ready to slice up.

Sequencing on the MPC1000 can be done in either linear or pattern-based modes across 64 tracks. The rubber pads are pressure and velocity sensitive to give a more natural organic feel when you program your phrases. The 16 Level feature takes your desired sound and spans it across the 16 pads in varying degrees of pitch, attack, decay or filter depending on which you choose. There are also 2 Q-Link sliders which can be assigned to paramters for extra performace control adjustments.

As well as the analog and digital inputs (for turntables and CD player recording respectively), there is a headphone output and 2 MIDI connections available on the rear. There are 4 filters and 2 on board effects which can be used on a track or master output (or both simultaneously). Once you have created your beat, the MPC1000 can sample itself to make a WAV file wich can then be transferred via USB to computer for burning or sharing.

The unit itself feels solid but light and small enough to be rather portable, easily fitting into laptop bags or rucksacks.
