History

Est.1999; based around the lives of people who love their art, their music and their friends.Supremebeing takes its influence from family and neighbours, drawing reference from all angles of our lives so far.We're basically a family of artists: some design, or paint, sketch, make music, we just all live to produce inspiring things, audio or visual. It?s what it?s all about for us; working with the things we love. We hope people can maybe be inspired by us, same way we are inspired by them.

In the very beginning the idea was simple; to try & make a livelihood from our passions. We decided the way forward was to open a mens and womens streetwear store. Within, we unbelievably, managed to incorporate an art gallery, an independent music shop, a record label, a cafe a skate shop & we designed and made tee shirts to order. All this bundled together in one address in our hometown of Cambridge, England. Imagine a shop with enough space to encompass all of these things & you are imagining the total opposite of what we had to work with! What we did have was a one up, one down, cramped, chaotic, hub of creativity, nestled in a sidestreet of Cambridges historic city centre.

Back then we werent called Supremebeing, this came about after the name appeared on one of our early tee designs called The Maker. A Tee that depicted the hand of one the SB crew which is missing part of a finger lost in a freakish chip shop accident as a boy. This along with the Supremebing text which was written across the chest. To this day you can find the hand of The Maker inside every garment as a mark of quality and good design, along with the following axiom which underpins all that we do.
