    Back in 1995, a couple of skateboard shop owners and a pro skater named Tim Gavin had a vision to create a footwear brand designed specifically for skateboarding.

    DVS, as they originally named it, has today become a globally recognized force in the footwear market, yet the founding partners haven't wavered from the mantra the brand was built on - made for skaters, by skaters.

    While it now caters to the breadth of the board sports world, DVS remains focused and committed to sponsoring the best skateboarders, supporting the best events, and backing the best retail stores in the world.
