Serato Scratch Live SL2 DVS from Rane gives you the ability to control your digital library using an existing analogue setup such as turntables or CDJs.
Using the included Rane SL2 24 bit interface box and the timecode vinyls (or CDs) you can drag a file into a deck on the Serato software and mix away as if the track was on the timecode disc. Latency isn`t an issue and the responsiveness of the deck has lead to the Serato DVS systems being a staple in club land.
The virtual deck on the Serato Scratch Live software show you the position of the playhead, remaining time and a representation of the waveform so you can see the breakdowns and drops on the track. Absolute mode will be an exact representation of how you control the timecodes but if you want to ensure needle skips and other gremlins don`t pop up then relative mode can eliminate these potential issues.
All cables, timecodes (vinyls and CDs) software and the Rane SL2 interface box are included in the Rane SL2 package and software support from Rane is second to none.
If 2 decks aren`t enough for you then there are 3 and 4 deck versions available in the form of Rane SL3 and Rane SL4 respectively.
